Chinese actress Yuan Li will appear next in Giuseppe Tornatore's Beijing-focused short film, "Reunion," which the Italian director created for Vision Beijing, a project involving five internationally acclaimed filmmakers as they chronicle the city's changes leading up to the Olympics.

Hong Kong director Andrew Lau's vision presents the only Chinese perspective in the project. The other three directors are Daryl Goodrich from Britain, Majid Majidi from Iran, and Patrice Leconte from France.

Their works began airing Thursday on major Chinese stations, as well as on stations in France, Italy and Iran, Xinhua news agency reports.
