Hong Kong pop diva Gigi Leung joined charity organization "Hope" recently to bring New Year gifts and blessings to a poor family in her hometown.

Gigi, 1.76-meter tall, had to stoop down to walk into the shanty, which is the home to a family of ten -- five adults and five children. She brought with her a basket of food as New Year present.

The 31-year-old singer-actor had dinner with the big family, and left some money before leaving.

"I think the mother of the kids is a great woman," Gigi said after the visit, "She manages to live a hard life with a tender heart. And I hope they can get help from the society."
