Malaysia will hold an international film festival from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2 to develop and promote cooperation among film makers around the world, the organizers said on Monday.
Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival 2007 (KLIFF'07), with the theme "Celebrating Cultural Diversity", is aimed at fostering closer friendship among countries and celebrating the cultural diversity through the popular medium of feature films, documentaries, animation and shot films, the organizers said in a release.
The festival will include film screening, grand premieres, Symposium and exhibition, and awards, according to the Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival Sdn.Bhd and Malaysia's National Film Development Corporation.
Films from various countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and Americas will participate in the festival to woo the five awards of Best Asian Film, Best African Film, Best European Film, Best North America Film and Best South America Film, the organizers said.
