A photo album featuring the people behind famous Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's blockbuster - "The Assembly", has been released to promote the film for the upcoming New Year film season.

Website sina.com reported on Tuesday that the creative director and his partner Wang Zhonglei, CEO of Huayi Brothers Film Company, have selected this unique way to promote their new movie.

Leading actors from "The Assembly", together with Feng and Wang, posed for the photo to show their determination in shaking up the film industry.

The film, set against the backdrop of the Chinese Civil War in the late 1940s, is expected to debut on December 20 around the country.
