A documentary about the late Chinese-American author Iris Chang Chunru is scheduled to premiere on Monday in Toronto, Canada.
The 10-million-yuan film "Iris Chang -- The Rape of Nanking" chronicles Chang's 36-year life story.
Chang was born in Princeton, New Jersey, on March 28, 1968. She was a journalist and copywriter for top U.S. newspapers before she became an author.
She is well-known for her book "The Rape of Nanking," a history about the 1937 Nanjing Massacre during the Japanese invasion of China. The book was published in 1997.
Chang committed suicide on November 9, 2004. |
