Chinese action star Jackie Chan said he is planning to retire from film making in five years. He was speaking during the inauguration of his fourth California fitness sport club in Singapore on Saturday.
Chan said he has earned a lot of money but little happiness from working in Hollywood because he couldn't choose scripts and has to speak standard English.
He said he has had to give up some good scripts because of long dialogues.
However, shooting movies in Asia grants him more freedom, including choosing scripts and designing moves, Chan said.
Chan said he hoped to find his successors as an actor from a recent competition in Beijing.
