Wong Kar-Wai Garners Award in US

Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai was given a "Key to the City" of Memphis in the US last Thursday when shooting his latest film "My Blueberry Nights" in the city.

Wong Kar-Wai became the first Asian director to win this honor, according to the Star Daily.

Previously, directors Francis Ford Coppolla and Milos Foreman have also received keys to the city.

Wong Kai-Wai showed his thankfulness to the mayor of Memphis. He added he hoped his new film would leave a sweet memory to the city.
