Director Feng Xiaogeng's new film, The Banquet, will debut in Guangzhou on August 30th with the release of four specially designed advertising posters. After that, it will screen in Hangzhou, Shenyang and Xi'an, before a great and royal celebration on September 9th in Beijing as its final destination.

The striking poster shown above attracts attention with strong hues and striking unearthly images. It plays a game of show and tell as only half of the heroine's body is visible and the hero's face is entirely concealed under a man-made bronze mask.

Director Feng Xiaogang, an ambitious fifth generation Chinese director, entered The Banquet in the Venezia Film Festival in 2006. The all star casts includes luminaries like Zhang Ziyi, Zhou Xun, Ge You and Wu Yanzu.
