The eyes of the world will be watching the vigorous Socceroos in their match against defending champions Brazil on Sunday. CRI reporter Xiaohong filed this story from Germany, before the big showdown between the traditional powerhouse and the new comer upstarts.
The Socceroos are looking forward to meeting the formidable Brazil on Sunday.
Australian head coach Guus Hiddink says preparations are going smoothly.
"There is no injury on the team right now."
Australia staged a dramatic upset in their opening game against Group F rivals Japan, scoring three goals in the last 8 minutes for their first-ever World Cup win.
The team was trailing 1-0 until substitute Tim Cahill leveled the scores eight minutes. Minutes later he followed up with a second goal and John Aloisi put the icing on the cake with a third goal in injury time.
Meanwhile, defending champions Brazil managed to win their opener against Croatia thanks to a little Kaka magic. But the game, especially the big stars, did not live up to their names.
So the second match promises thrills and spills galore as the up and coming Socceroos take on the unpredictable Brazillians.
But Hiddink has played expectations down, saying the Socceroos are clearly the underdogs.
Hiddink also denied the media suggestions that he plans to take advantage of Brazil's poor defence and play an offensive game against the reigning champs.
The Australian coach said he would try to find a balance between attacking and defending, as Brazil's attacking square can deliver any time, under any circumstances.
No one's been able to get a glimpse of the champions closed training sessions but the Brazillian reporters are all very confident, boasting they'll win 4-0 against Australia.
The rest of world will wait and see.
