China began the game with a slow start, trailing behind their Australian rivals in the first quarter: 14-11.

However, the Chinese WCBA all-stars whirled to a quick change, fueled by breakthroughs to turn the tables and set the scores at 29-24 by half time.

China then extended their lead in the second half to a 65-54 win.

In another match on Saturday in Shaoxing, east China's Zhejiang Province, Lithuanian side TEO thrashed hapless Russian side Baltiyskaya Zwezda 92-49 for a second win in a row.
