Both teams reached the tournament's semi-finals after they finish 1-2 of Group A.

Portugal is a tournament favorite, since some of its players are members of European powerhouses.

The underdog China was determined to go all out against the strong rival.

Portugal was in the driving seat, but failed to convert their continuous attacks into tangible results.

Both teams settled for a goalless draw at the final whistle and reached the semi-finals as the top two teams of their group.

In another match, Argentina beat the Czech Republic 2-0, but not enough to make the semi-final. Argentina had one win, one draw and one loss in the group.
