Speedskater Joey Cheek, who won 500m gold and 1,000m silver, will carry the American flag in Sunday's closing ceremonies, the US Olympic Committee announced Friday.

Cheek has donated the 40,000 dollars he receives from the US Olympic Committee for his Turin medals to the charity organization Right to Play, which brings sport to disadvantaged youth worldwide.
