Nanjing to Host 2006 Stankovic Cup

Chinese Basketball/ 2005 Stankovic Cup

The city of Nanjing has won the bid to host this year's Stankovic Champions Cup.

A total of six teams from Brazil, Greece, Australia, France, Germany and host China will compete in the tournament.

The annual international basketball competition is scheduled to run from August 10th to 15th.

Chinese NBA star center Yao Ming will participate in the tournament.

NBA All-Star shootout winner Dirk Nowitzki of Germany, French guard Tony Parker, and Aussie rookie Andrew Bogut are also expected to play in the event.
