CRI Special: Chinese Basketball

Liaoning has defeated Heilongjiang 85-82 in a semi-final clash of the domestic women's basketball league.

The victory has been marred, however, by a crowd disturbance 12 seconds before the final buzzer.

Fans unsatisfied with a referee's call have thrown water bottles at him.

A player on the Heilongjiang team has been injured in the melee.

The match was then suspended for one hour and forced to end without winding down the clock.

The match's technical committee decided that Liaoning won the game 85-82.

Following the victory, Liaoning has now advanced into the WCBA finals.
