Du Wei, Zhang Yaokun in China Squad
2006-01-26 14:59:07    CRIENGLISH.com

Dalian Shide defender Zhang Yaokun and Du Wei have found a place in the squad of 27 players named by the China Football Association for a training camp ahead of the AFC Asian Cup 2007 qualifiers in February.

Zhang is in the process of wrapping up a loan switch to Sheffield United while Du is likely to rejoin Shanghai Shenhua shortly. Other Chinese players doing duty abroad have not been released by the European clubs.

Prominently missing from the squad is Zheng Zhi (banned by the AFC from playing in three international matches on disciplinary grounds).

The squad, coached by Zhu Guanghu, will start training from February 1 after the Chinese New Year festivities.

Meanwhile, China have declined Ukraine's invitation for a friendly in February. China play their first AFC Asian Cup 2007 qualifying match against Palestine on February 22.
