2005-12-30 14:11:33  CRIENGLISH.com
China's Bao Chunlai lost to local favorite Peter Gade in the men's singles final of the Copenhagen Masters badminton championships.

Earlier, Chinese duo Cai Yun / Fu Haifeng failed to turn over the table and lost 2-1 to world champions Howard Bach and Tony Gunawan of the United States, in men's doubles final.

The clash between Bao Chunlai and Peter Gade is no doubt an eye-catching marquee contest.

The two shuttlers had a close fight in the first set. Gade won the set 15-13.

He then extended his lead to win the second set 15-6 to wind up the game en route to capture the title.
