Soccer: Report: Head Coach Pei Encai Resigns
2005-11-14 17:01:12  CRIENGLISH.com
Head coach of the Chinese women's national football team, Pei Encai, is going to leave his position.

A report in the Guangzhou based newspaper, King Sports, says that Pei has handed in his resignation letter to the Chinese Football Association.

The 52-year-old Pei, taking over the national team from former head Wang Haiming in May, was expected to bring the girls back to being the best.

However, the veteran coach failed to boost the "steel roses" as China finished at the bottom of the table in the East Asian Four-nation Championship.

Pei is China's fifth coach since the legendary Ma Yuanan achieved incredible results back in the 90s.
