| Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), has called for pushing forward the technical revolution throughout the country, state media said Friday.
He called on all the sectors of the national economy to realize modernization based on the latest scientific and technological achievements, the state media reported.
Kim made the statement during a visit to the February General Steel Enterprise, a machine plant in the northern province of Jagang, the state media added.
Kim was also quoted as saying that the technological improvement would strengthen the independent national economy in all aspects.
It was the third official report in three days of Kim's visits to various units in the northern province. |
