Two giant pandas presented by the mainland arrived at the Taipei Taoyuan Airport Tuesday afternoon.
The four-year-old pandas, Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, left a breeding base in Ya'an of southwestern Sichuan Province, at around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday in an enclosed truck.
They were transported to Sichuan's provincial capital of Chengdu, about 120 km from Ya'an, and from there left for the island by air. |
