The new Jinggangshan Revolution Museum will open to the public on Saturday, Xinhua News Agency reports.

Located in Ciping Town of Jinggangshan City of eastern China's Jiangxi Province, the new museum is designed to match the main architecture style in Jinggangshan, called the 'surrounding houses'. The new museum has an area of 20,030 square meters.

The former Jinggangshan Revolution Museum was founded and opened in 1959, in memory of the first countryside revolution based in Jinggangshan.
