Twenty-six Beijing museums will open free to the public on International Museum Day on May 18.
To celebrate the annual event, the Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage will offer free appraisals to help people assess the value of their cultural relic collections.
Renowned experts will assess three categories of artefacts in person, including chinaware, painting and calligraphy, and other items.
The appraisals will be available through a special ticketing system on May 16. Six hundred free tickets will be available for collection from 9am at the doorway of Beijing's Ancient Architecture Museum. Everyone can take one ticket, which will allow them to submit three items for appraisal. |
