Most Serious Exam Questions Leak in School's History
    2007-01-21 17:20:26     CRIENGLISH.com
Exam questions were leaked shortly before a test in a northwestern Chinese university, resulting in 3,000 students having to re-take the exam.

Xi'an Evening Post quoted a second-year student from Xi'an Shiyou University as saying, "Many of my classmates obtained a three-page preparation packet before the Marxist philosophy exam." Students originally thought the packet was just like any other preparation materials that could help them better prepare for the exam, until they sat for the test three days later on January 8 and found it covered in exact detail all the questions on the test.

All of the 3,000 or so students were required to re-take the exam on January 11.

The school's authorities said they had no idea until some students reported the incident.

An investigation later discovered that three professors who helped prepare students for the exam unknowingly leaked the test questions.

Those involved in the incident have already resigned or been dismissed by the university, according to the report.

The incident was described by the university administration as the most serious case of exam questions being leaked in the school's 56 year history.
