The China Development Bank will provide a loan of 15 billion yuan, or 1.9 billion US dollars, for infrastructure construction in areas of economic and technological development in the western region of China in five years.
The People's Daily reported that the Ministry of Commerce signed a memo with China Development Bank on Wednesday, stating this intention.
Vice Minister Ma Xiuhong said the western region should make good use of the loan, consolidating construction of the infrastructure, while attracting more investors to the region. |
