Brilliance China Automotive Holdings, one of BMW AG's Chinese partners, will export 158,000 own-brand sedans to Germany within the next five years.
It will be the first domestic auto maker to export China's own brand of cars to Europe.
Brilliance Auto Chairman Qi Yumin says quality is their highest priority.
"We attach great importance to the quality of the car. Zhonghua cars have passed German emission and safety qualifications as well as other relevant German laws and regulations."
The company signed a contract with HSO, a German auto retailer in Bremen, to export the "Zhonghua" cars it developed itself.
HSO's general manager says they decided to import the cars after comprehensive market research. He says the "Zhonghua" cars are relatively low-priced and with good quality.
The first 3,000 cars to be exported will be the mid-class " Zunchi" model. They will depart from Dalian city in northeast China's Liaoning Province for Bremen next month.
Brilliance will export 15,000 cars next year and launch sales in other European countries.
