A total eclipse of the moon can be observed on Aug. 28 in Indonesia, a Meteorological and Geophysics Agency (BMG) official said on Thursday.
The rare phenomenon will begin at 3:50 p.m. and last till 7:23 p.m. local time, Antara news agency quoted a BMG official Chrismanto as saying.
The total lunar eclipse can be observed from many parts of Indonesia so long as the sky is clear, he said.
The lunar eclipse can also be seen from the western and northern parts of South America, Pacific Ocean countries, the Philippines, Japan, Korea and the eastern part of Asia, he said. |
