Shanxi Province is promoting a circulatory economy by using marsh gas to generate electricity. In 2007, marsh gas electric power has so far supplied 113,800 households in rural areas.
The project of generating electricity by methane could deal with the pollution from cow dung in the aquatic breeding farm, reducing the consumption of firewood and coal. An environmentally-friendly, energy-saving economy is thus developing in the countryside of this northern Chinese province. 1 2 |
