Russia Crushes Solomon Islands 31-2 in Indoor Soccer Match

Russia had no mercy on Monday against Solomon Islands, winning 31-2 at their Group A match of the indoor soccer World Cup of Brazil 2008 at the Nilson Nelson stadium in Brasilia.

Aware of the need for more goals in the fight for the second place in the group, led by Brazil, Russia went out ready to make goals and they finished the first half 20-0.

Khamadiev scored at minute 1, 2 and 14, Shayakhmetov at minute 1 and 2, Sirilo at minute 3, 4, 10 and 10, Pula at minute 4, 5, 11, 17, 18 and 19, Agapov at minute 7 and 15.

During the second half, Russia continued making goals and expanded the advantage with most goals of Shayakhmetov at minute 1 and 3, Pula at minute 4, 5, 7 and 7, Khamadiev at minute 9, 10 and 14.

On Wednesday, Russia will face Japan in a match to decide the second placer of Group A, which will pass to the second round of the tournament.
