NBA Indiana Pacers Guard Forward Danny Granger teamed up with coaches from Indonesian club Satria Muda Britama (SMB) at a joint U.S. Embassy-NBA Cares basketball clinic.

"This is an incredible opportunity to bring our two cultures together with a unique combination of celebrity, volunteerism and leadership," the Ambassador Cameron R. Hume told reporters on Tuesday.

The event took place in the Embassy's courtyard basketball court. SMB head coach Fictor and assistants helped to coach 30 orphans on basketball fundamentals.

During the coach, girls orphans of one of the largest Islamic organizations Muhammadiyah looked a bit awkward than boys orphans. Therefore Granger and SMB were more careful in giving coach to the girls who were wearing Moslem veils.

NBA Cares is the league's social responsibility initiative that builds on the NBA's long traditional of addressing important social issues in the United States and around the world. Through this umbrella program, the NBA, its teams and players have donated more than 81 million U.S. dollars (73 billion rupiahs) to charity, completed approximately 550,000 hours of community service and created more than 300 places where kids and families can live, learn and play.
