The first World Mind Sports Games (WMSG) released its official logo and slogan in Beijing on Wednesday.

According to the game's official website, a truelove knot in five colors was selected as the final logo. It represents affinity, friendship, solidarity, communication, good luck as well as the traditional elements of China, the host of the 1st WMSG.

Chen Shaohua, a noted designer in Shenzhen, designed the logo.

The website also revealed that the event confirmed a theme of "civilization has its origin, and wisdom has no boundaries."

The first World Mind Sports Games will be held in Beijing from October 3 to 18.

Twenty five to thirty gold medals will be given out in five mind sports, namely Bridge, Chess, Go, Draughts and Chinese Chess during the tournament.

It is estimated that more than 2,000 players from over 150 countries and regions will take part in the Games.
