"Nine-ball Queen" Cruises to World Champion

World number four Pan Xiaoting pocketed her second world title at the 2007 Amway WPA Women's World 9-Ball Championship in Taiwan on Sunday.

China's "9-Ball Pool Queen" faced off Philippine striker Rubilen Amit in the final game. The match was close at first, but China prevailed and sealed the championship with a winning score of 11-5.

Born on February 25, 1982, Pan resides in Shanghai and competes in WPBA events. She represented China at the Asian Games in December 2006.

Pan was named WPBA Rookie of the Year in 2006. She made her mark in the world of professional women's billiards this year when she scored her first win during the the WPBA Great Lakes Classic Tour of America in March.
