China's Guo Jingjing tore through the women's three-meter preliminary diving competition at the FINA World Championships in Melbourne, Australia, Saturday.
Guo tallied three dives of more than 70 points, including 76.50 points in her second-round dive (a reverse 2.5 somersault from the pike position) en route to 356.10 points.
Sweden's Anna Lindberg totaled 322.80 points for second, while Australia's Sharleen Stratton took third with 320.80 points.
The top American effort came from Nancilea Foster with an eighth-place 297.15. |
