China's FIFA Ranking Up

China's national football team moves up four places to reach 87th on the latest FIFA world rankings, thanks to their win over Palestine in last week's Asian Cup qualifier.

China booked their berth for the AFC Asian Cup 2007 Finals for the ninth consecutive time after defeating Palestine 2-0 in the qualifying match on December 12.

Brazil still leads the rankings, with World Cup winners Italy in second place and beaten finalists France at third. Argentina has moved one place down to fourth, with sixth-placed Germany one place behind England.
