The mystery of who will be the runner-up in the 2005-06 CSL season won't be unveiled until next week, as hopeful teams Shanghai Shenhua and Beijing Guo'an tie for second place in the league table after the 29th-round competition.

Shenhua was held to a 1-all draw by visiting Dalian Shide on their home field. Both the goals came in the second half.

Hondurean import Luis Alfredo Ramirez opened the scoring for Shanghai in the 58th minute. But Dalian made an equalizer within fifteen minutes though a goal by Zou Jie.

In Beijing, home favorite Guo'an snatched a narrow 1-0 victory over Changchun Yatai thanks to the penalty kick by Du Wenhui in the 67th minute.

Following the win, Beijing shared the second spot with Shenhua on the standings with 49 points.

In other matches played on Sunday, league champion Shandong Luneng proved their power by beating Liaoning FC 3-1 at home.

Xiamen Lanshi extended their winning streak to four games with a 2-0 victory over Xi'an Chanba, while Wuhan Guanggu triumphed over Shenzhen Kingway 2-1 to secure the tenth place in the standings.

Meanwhile, Tianjin Teda tied Qingdao Zhongneng at 1-all, while Shenyang Ginde suffered a 3-1 loss to Shanghai United FC.
