China's women's basketball team returned to Beijing on Tuesday morning after a disappointing trip to the World Championships.

After touching down, the team's head coach Tom Mahr vowed to capture the gold medal at the Asian Games in December in Doha.

He said he hopes Sui Feifei and Ren Lei, two injured key players, will recovery quickly in time for the Asian games.

Two more players hae also been added to the basketball training camp in Beijing early next month.

China finished last at the 12-team World Championships that concluded in Brazil on Sunday.
