China Lose to the Czech 79-73 in Women's World Championship

European champion the Czech Republic edged China 79-73 in the first game of second-round play in the FIBA World Championship.

WNBA player Miao Lijie and Chen Nan each contributed a game-high scored of 24 points, but failed to save China from defeat.

 

Following the play, the Czech Republic and China are tied for second at 2-1 in Group F, while China is last at 0-3. China will face Cuba on Monday and finish second-round play Tuesday against France.
