China Beats Lebanon to Face South Korea in Final

Host China trounced Lebanon 129-76 to enter the final of the 19th Junior Men's Asia Basketball Championship.

China will play in the final against South Korea, which eliminated Chinese Taipei 72-66 in the semifinals.

Lebanon resisted effectively only for 5 minutes, after which China, with the help of the talented players such as Chen Jianghua and Xie Libin, quickly pulled away.

Chen grabbed 15 points and Xie contributed 4 three-pointers, and China made the run with 59-30 by the end of first half.

Lebanon seemed to give up the battle in the second half, and China then successfully advanced to the final with the easy win.

"This match is quite decisive for us to qualify for next year's Junior World Championship, we have prepared really well before the match,"Li Chunjiang, head coach of the Chinese team said after the match, "Lebanon is a strong team, and our players had done their best. It is so far the best game we have ever played in this Championship."
