Another Chinese runner Bai Xue came fourth in 15:37.12.
Xue, just crowned in the 5,000m at the National Championships early this month, followed at heel Kiplagat who led to cross the 4,000m mark before the 17-year-old surpassed Kimplagat in the final meters.
