Shandong Luneng and Dalian Shide have gotten the upper hand in the semi-finals of the CFA Cup, with their wins in the first leg of competitions.
Super League leaders Shandong took an easy 3-1 victory over Xi'an Chanba.
The League's top scorer Li Jinyu drew the first blow for Shandong with a goal in the 54th minute.
Then, Luneng enlarged its lead to two points when Han Peng scored in the 61st minute.
Only two minutes later, Xi'an striker Wang Peng scored with a header to reduce the deficit to 2-1, but a late free-kick from Bulgarian player Predrag Pazin sealed the victory for Shandong.
In another semi-finals clash, Dalian Shide smashed underdog Zhejiang Lucheng 3-1 to move one step forward to the final.
Zhu Ting, Zou Jie and Bulgaria's Zoran Jankovic each contributed one goal for Dalian.
The teams will play the rest of the matches for the semis on September 2nd.
