China has scooped an opening victory at the AFC Women's Asian Cup, beating Chinese Taipei 2-0 in their first group match in Adelaide, Australia.

Striker Han Duan drew the first blood for China through a header 11 minutes into the match.
Veteran defender Pu Wei sealed the two-goal victory for China by a shoot in the 65th minute.
Pu hit an open gate when Chinese Taipei's goalkeeper Huang Feng-Chiu failed to block the goal.
In another Group A clash, Japan thrashed Vietnam 5-0.
After the first round of group matches, Japan top the group and China stand second on goal difference.
Australia is leading Group B with two victories.
The top two finishers of the two Groups will qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.
