Shangri-La again Named The Best
  2006-12-29 12:46:38      China Daily
Shangri-La, a leading luxury hotel group in the Asia-Pacific region, has been listed as the best hotel brand in China, according to a recent poll.

Its franchise in Changchun, capital of Jilin Province, was named the best business hotel of the city for its quality facilities and services. It is the second consecutive year for the Changchun Shangri-La to gain the award.

The survey was organized by Business Traveller China, the Chinese edition of the Business Traveller magazine, which has editions in Germany, Hungary, the Middle East, Spain, Britain, the United States, the Asia-Pacific and China.

Since its debut in China in 2002, the magazine has conducted two such polls among its readers, who are mainly frequent travellers. The previous one took place in 2005.

The opinion poll suggests that Changchun Shangri-La Hotel enjoys high popularity with business travellers.

With well-established facilities and professional services, the five-star hotel creates a friendly environment for its customers.

Spacious guest rooms ranging from 36 to 184 square metres, extensive food and beverage facilities serving international cuisine and Northeast China's specialities, and business conference rooms with modern conveniences make the hotel especially attractive to businesspeople.

Now the deluxe hotel is increasing efforts to capitalize on local tourism resources and attract more travellers for leisure tours.

As the fifth Vasaloppet China, a well-known skiing event, is scheduled to kick off in three days in the city, Changchun Shangri-La has launched three related service packages in favourable terms, targeted at skiing lovers. The packages include skiing activities and ski ground transfers.

Situated in downtown Changchun, the deluxe hotel is close to shops and local amenities. The Changchun Longjia International Airport and the Changchun Railway Station are within reach, at 50 and 15 minutes' drive respectively.
