China to Implement Automatic Approval for Textile Exports
2005-2-25 22:29:00      CRIENGLISH.com
A Chinese provisional regulation on automatic approval for textile exports will take effect on March 1.
The Ministry of Commerce says automatic approval will step up the statistical analysis and monitoring of China's textile export, to release timely warnings to traders on textile exports.

This regulation is one of the measures China has taken since theglobal textile quotas were scrapped on January 1st this year.

Observers note that these measures indicate China's responsible attitude as a major textile exporter and are expected to stimulate the export of quality Chinese textiles.

China's textile and clothing exports totaled 97 billion US dollars last year.
