Question: what are the four things Daniel and Darren said they would be for their partner?
野人花园 Biography
Australian pop duo Savage Garden formed in 1993 and has since gained a large fan base around the world. Originally named Crush, songwriting duo Daniel Jones and Darren Hayes sent 150 demo tapes around the world and waited for replies. The only positive response came form an Australian record label. Their first single, “I Want You”, was released in July 1996 and made it to number two on the charts.
The song was followed by the consecutive number ones “To the Moon and Back” and “Truly Madly Deeply.” Their self-titled debut came in 1997, spending a shocking 13 weeks on top of the Australian charts. The album also became an international hit and managed to bring the duo ten Australian ARIA Awards. Hayes later moved to New York and their second album, Affirmation, was written from separate corners of the world. In January 2000, the album’s lead single, “I Knew I Loved You,” gave Savage Garden another hit.
The band’s name was inspired by the Vampire Chronicles by novelist Anne Rice. Their music, however, avoids blood sucking gore and concentrates on the age-old themes of love and relationships.
Savage Garden’s success spanned two albums. In 2001 the band split and Darren Hayes has moved on to a solo career. Daniel Jones has also continued to work in the music industry.
