South Korean actress Choi Ji-woo, a superstar in Japan courtesy of her role in the TV drama Winter Sonata, jetted into Tokyo to announce the release of Choi Ji-woo Treasure Box, Jiwoo, her new DVD and photo spread.
Ji-woo apologized to the fans who turned up to greet her at a Tokyo hotel after she had cancelled a planned July 7th trip to Japan when she collapsed through exhaustion. "I'm so sorry to everybody that I was not able to keep my promise to be here last year. Your warm support helped me recover and I'm delighted to see you all again," she said.
Jiwoo features the actress performing in several countries including Italy, South Africa, Cuba and the United States. It took more than 40 days and 147 hours of travel to work on the photo shoots used to compile the book and DVD. "There were times when I just wanted to go home, the actress said. But I hung on in there, eating properly and drinking health drinks. I think I've produced some works that everybody will be pleased with."
Jiwoo went on sale over the weekend and costs 12,000 yen (about $108 dollars).
