  • Despite winning the film award a 'Silver Bear,' director Gu Changwei is not as proud as a peacock. Instead, he remains calm in front of flooding questions from journalists. Many want to know how he feels about going from being one of China's best cinematographers, to an award-winning director.

  • Chinese fifth generation director Gu Changwei and recent winner of a Silver Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival, has confirmed that he will join Hollywood master John Woo's latest epic "The War of Red Cliff".

  • After three years of preparation, the TV series about late Chinese painter Zhang Daqian is scheduled to begin shooting in March and is expected to hit Chinese screens before the end of this year. Hong Kong star Tony Leung will replace Chinese mainland star Chen Daoming in the lead role, as the artist.

  • Hong Kong director Wong-Kar-Wai was in Tokyo on Valetine's Day to promote his love tale "The Hand" as part of the three-episode film, "Eros".

  • Well-known Chinese action star Jet Li's new blockbuster ”®Huo Yuanjia Biopic' is set to begin shooting next month in Shanghai.
