So forget about the roses, chocolates and champagne, this Valentine's Day take your loved one to the movies. Or if you are lonely and single, and don't want to pick up a guy in the street, you can survive by indulge yourself at the cinema. So, in this edition of Movie Boulevard, we have prepared you a list of movies for your Valentine's Day entertainment.

Several new movies will hit the big screen on that special day. Here we will look at four of them each representing a different taste so there will be at least one to suit you.

The first movie we will review is "Wimbledon" which hit cinemas here in Beijing on the 11th of February.

Romance is kindled on a Wimbledon tennis court between unlucky player Peter and rising young tennis star Lizzie. Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany star as the tennis players.

The unlucky tennis player Peter has lost his ambition and has fallen to the bottom of the world rankings. Fortunately for him, he meets American tennis star Lizzie Bradbury on the women's circuit and she helps him recapture his focus for Wimbledon, the biggest annual event in the tennis world.

Universal Pictures distributed this film early last year. The highlight of the movie is its sporting flavor. It achieves a good balance in the romance better so it serves both women and men. The tennis scenes are very realistic and exciting.

If you want to know how far Peter is able works his way up the ranks of the tournament, and what the future holds for him and Lizzie, check it out.

Or if you are not quite convinced, have a listen to this trailer.

The second movie here we are recommending to you today is "Hitch".

Will Smith who was last seen playing a machine in the film "I, Robot" drops his weapons and puts on a suit and perfume, as a professional matchmaker in new comedy "Hitch".

Do you want to know how to be an appealing and charming guy? Do you want to win that second date? You definitely want to find your true love, don't you? If so, you won't want to miss the vital dating tips in this film.

At the start of the movie, Will Smith is a successful professional matchmaker in New York City. He will tailor you a perfect date and train you to impress her from the first minute.

But then his well-oiled operation is threatened by a female journalist who enrolls as a student and plans to write an expos¨¦ on his fraudulent methods. She tries to tell him that love is not a game to be played. At that's when this matchmaker's true love has come.

This movie, by Columbia Pictures will also be released on 11th February worldwide.

Let's have a sneaky look at the trailer

If you can drag yourself further into this overdose of sweetness for a moment, here is a song titled "Learn to be Lonely" from The Phantom of the Opera. It has just nominated for Best Song Award in this year's OSCARs

Next, here are two Chinese films on our recommendation list. Chinese mainland actress-turned -director Xu Jinglei's Letter From An Unknown Woman and Chinese American director Ann Hu's film "Beauty Ever".

Letter from An Unkown Woman is the second film directed by Xu Jinglei. And it netted her a Best Director award at the prestigious San Sebastian Film Festival last October.

This movie is based on the novel of the same name, written by renowned Austrian writer Stefan Zweig. It tells the story of a woman who devotes her life to a secret lover.

Using such celebrated Chinese actors and director give this movie added credit. It opens in cinemas around China a day before Valentine's Day. Let's enjoy this piece of music from it first.

A film combining the writing of Stefan Zweig, the actress and director Xu Jinglei and actor Jiang Wen makes this one of the most anticipated film for me and I hope it won't disappoint you.

Arty films may not be the top pick if you want to watch something sweet film on Valentine's Day, but at least it gives people another choice.

Chinese American director Ann Hu is one of the celebrated art house directors. She is famous for her 2001 film "Shadow Magic" in which western technology gives eastern tradition a jolt when they clash at the beginning of the last century.

(Poster of "Beauty Ever")

This year, she brings us a female themed film "Beauty Ever" which stars Chinese actors Zhou Xun and Wang Zhiwen.
Ann says this film integrates her own life experiences and deep passion towards women. It will shed light both on the delicacy and cruelty of women.

The film's message is that a beautiful appearance is very important to women but that a woman's more mature and mellow state after enduring difficulties in her life is even more charming.

You should know what to expect from an art house film. So, don't expect what you may easily get from a commercial flick in the art house genre. Enjoy your own taste.

So you certainly have a wide choice this upcoming Valentine's Day and if you want to hear more check out our special feature about Valentine's Day Films on our Entertainment Channel.

Romantic movies such as Zhao Wei and Lu Yi's "Lover's Knot" and Zhang Ziyi's Jasmine Woman are high on the list of young people's fervent favorites.

Whatever you choose, have a great time at the movies this Valentine's Day, with your date or not. For those people in love who can't spend the day together, just remember, each day is Valentine's Day if you two truly love each other. And you single guys, remember you won't be lonely with a movie to accompany you! So, just be happy. Have a good Spring Festival holiday and great Valentine's Day.

We'll wrap up this edition of Movie Boulevard with a song named "Accidentally in Love" from the film Shrek 2. See you.
