Still with good memories of visiting the Uigur family, today we headed for the famous Fruit Valley.
Actually there is no fruit in the valley, but it does indeed have beautiful scenery.

It was our first time to see real mountains in Xinjiang in the last few days. All the reporters got excited and opened the window to let the fresh air in.
We stopped the coach in the middle and climbed to the top of the valley. What a grand view! Trees spread all over the steep slopes. I stood near the edge, tried to look down, and immediately withdrew out of dizziness.
Soon there was not much left to see after 10 minutes snapping pictures. We got on the coach and were ready to go back. Then, Wan Tianfan from cqnews.net suggested that we escape the lunch and visit the nearby Sayram Lake in the North. The suggestion was passed with overwhelming consensus.
And what lay in front of our eyes made it all worthwhile. We were caught breathless by this spotless sapphire mirror, so tranquil, so big, so stunning. The lake met the sky in the distance and groups of cattle and sheep strolled slowly by the lake. The grassland stretched into the horizon, dotted with tents of the herdsmen and tourists. And the green grass was set in deep contrast to the aquamarine-colored waters of the lake.

I began to hate myself for not being a good enough photographer to capture the scene and make the beauty eternal. Zhang Liping from China.org.cn was quite inspired by the lake and kept posing in front of many cameras with Reyila, our beautiful Uigur team leader.
