Chengdu, an Easy-going City
Chengdu was once cited by a magazine as the most stress-free city in China, evident in its residents' leisurely manner.
Wolong Panda Reserve
Begun in 1963, Wolong Panda Reserve is the earliest, largest and best-known panda reserve in China.
With a history stretching over 2,300 years, Chengdu is one of the famous 24 cultural and historical cities in China. Early in the 4th century BC, the king of ancient Shu, moved the capital from Guangdu Fanxiang (now called Shuangliu) to Chengdu. A town was built in this area in the first year and the capital in the second year, so the city was named as Chengdu, which means "became a capital" in Chinese.

Travel Tips
Chengdu is located in the middle of Sichuan Province and in the west part of the Sichuan basin.
Millions of travelers go to Chengdu annually and its lodging facilities are well established and facilitated.
Fortunately, the old Chinese saying "It is easier to get to heaven than to get to Sichuan" no longer applies.
Chengdu enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate with early spring, cool autumn and warm winter.
Sichuan food is famous for its many flavors, and almost every dish has its own unique taste.
Chengdu is one of the few remaining cities in China with a really authentic tea house (cha guan) culture.
