There are three long distance bus stations in Changsha, but all are several kilometers out of the town. You can reach all the bus stations from the railway station by both public bus and minibus.

All the stations are open from 6am to 9pm. The East Station has buses to the north and east of China, the West Station to the West of China, and the South Station for buses to the south.

There are two daily buses (3hrs, RMB12) to Shaoshan from the Southern Bus Station.
