The province of Heilongjiang now aims to strengthen its tourism industry after the successful bid to host the 24th Winter Universiade this January in Austria.

With tourist festivals like Harbin International Festival of Ice and Snow and Heilongjiang International Skiing Festival, the province is putting more emphasis on winter tourist activities.

The 24th Winter Universiade will be held in 2009.
