The Changsha Huanghua Airport (Huanghua feijichang) is 17km east of the city. The main CAAC office is at 5 Wuyi donglu, near to the railway station. There are shuttle buses (RMB20) between them.

There are direct flight to more than 40 cities within and outside China, including regular services to Beijing (2hrs), Shanghai (1.5hrs), Guangzhou (1hr), Shenzhen (1hr), Hong Kong (1hr) and even weekly flights to Bangkok.
